The solution? We've selected the top 5 podcasts that are both educational and engaging, essential for serious investors.
Why should you care? The right podcasts help you avoid bad advice and focus on content that helps you grow as an investor. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, these podcasts offer helpful insights.
What criteria should these accounts meet?

Long-term investing (or related to a long-term mindset) must be the focus of it.
The podcast hosts need to be informative or fun-educational.
The host(s) must know their stuff.
1. Business Breakdowns
“Business Breakdowns” is one of our all-time favorite podcasts. It inspired us to create something similar, based on what they do well and expanding on it.
The podcast gives investors an inside look at how companies operate, featuring deep research and interviews with industry experts, veterans, and investment professionals. They break down a company's history, business model, financials, unique advantages, and valuation. It's an excellent starting point for any investor looking to understand a business better.
2. Acquired
“Acquired,” hosted by Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal, is another standout. Every company has a unique story, and they dive into it with incredible detail. Their research is thorough, and some episodes run over four hours—but they're so engaging that you won't mind.
They bring on CEOs, investment professionals, or simply discuss among themselves, showcasing their deep knowledge and eloquence.
While it might not be for everyone, if you're passionate about stock investing and want to learn the stories, histories, and strategies behind successful companies, this podcast is a must-follow.
3. The Morgan Housel Podcast
This podcast is a bit different because it goes beyond investing. Morgan Housel, renowned for his books ‘The Psychology of Money’ and ‘Same as Ever’, started his podcast a few years ago. (By the way, we recommend you read these books!)
Typically, I'm not a fan of monologues, but Morgan Housel pulls it off perfectly. His voice, delivery, and the depth of his content are outstanding. He has a calming effect while teaching valuable lessons on wealth, greed, psychology, and even happiness.
His insights are timeless, making this my favorite solo hosted podcast.
4. In Good Company with Nicolai Tangen
“In Good Company with Nicolai Tangen” is, in our opinion, a highly underrated podcast. Despite being the CEO of the world's largest single investor, Norges Bank Investment Management, Tangen hosts this podcast purely out of passion—and it shows. The insights he offers are timeless and incredibly valuable.
Tangen interviews leaders from some of the world's largest companies, giving listeners a deep dive into their strategies, leadership principles, and more. Guests range from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to Exor CEO John Elkann, and even the former CEO of The Walt Disney Company.
For anyone analyzing stocks, understanding the management team—especially the CEO and company culture—is crucial. This podcast offers a great way to get to know the leaders behind the companies you invest in. Highly recommended!
5. We Study Billionaires
"We Study Billionaires" is a big podcast, but it more than deserves the attention. The hosts dive deep into the minds of financial giants like Warren Buffett, Ray Dalio, and Howard Marks, sharing insights that you can apply to your own investment strategies. They focus on learning from the best, highlighting tips, tricks, and how to avoid common mistakes.
With over 150 million downloads, they're certainly not small-time. While I usually hesitate to promote big podcasts, this one earns its spot on the list.
Their topics range widely, covering everything from psychology to book reviews to in-depth interviews. It's an invaluable resource for any serious investor.
